Download and Extract scheduler-<version>-archive-win.exe

This section tells you how to download and extract the Active Archive software.

Process Flow

  1. Request a copy of Active Archive for your platform from Redwood Software, note that Archive server needs to have the same or greater major version number as Redwood Server.
  2. Install the scheduler-<version>-archive-win.exe to a directory.

Prerequisites

Active Archive requires a specific license key

  • Active Archive deliverable for your platform

Procedure

Install the scheduler-<version>-archive-win.exe into a directory

  1. Depending on your platform.
  2. On UNIX, extract the archive into the desired directory.
  3. On Windows, run the executable.
  4. Select a destination directory.

Upgrade Active Archive software

  1. Extract the WAR files from scheduler-<version>-archive-win.exe located at <install_dir>/j2ee/cluster/global/webapps.
  2. Stop the archive server using j2ee/cluster/archiveserver1/bin/stop.{sh|cmd}.
  3. Copy the WAR files into the j2ee/cluster/global/webapps directory of your scheduler-<version>-archive-win.exe installation.
  4. Execute j2ee/cluster/archiveserver1/bin/redeploy.{sh|cmd}.
  5. Start scheduler-<version>-archive-win.exe server.
