Upgrading from 9.1.5, 9.0.22 or lower

When you wish to upgrade to 9.1 or later, you must first upgrade to 9.0.22 if you are not already on that version, then upgrade to 9.1.5. When you are on 9.1.5, it is advised to migrate to Java 11 prior to upgrading to 9.2 and later.

The change in date/time formatter and parser can have consequences on time parsing and formatting. The switch from SimpleDateFormat to DateTimeFormatter can have an impact, please see Specifying Dates.

9.2.8

  • CAR files are no longer executable JAR files; you can use api-tool.jar to import them from the command line instead.
  • The XAL and XMW tabs on SAP system objects are now hidden by default, unless they were used.
  • It is no longer allowed to specify the mail server on mail processes, the configured mail server will be used.

  • Support for SAP JCo 3.1.4 was added; this version is now required for SNC connections.

Prerequisites

  • Java version 11 or 17 (recommended) is required. SAP JCo version 3.1 is required for SAP connections. Additionally, Execute access to the RFC_METADATA_GET function module is required in the S_RFC authorization object.

Known Issues

  • Only for customers using the PL/SQL API: if you upgrade to 9.2.4, until and including 9.2.4.3 there is a known issue with the PL/SQL API. If you use this component, please update to 9.2.4.4 or higher.

9.2.3

  • SOAP calls now use HTTP 1.1

  • SAP Inbound can connect now via message server

  • SAP IBP connector now uses credentials of type "SOAP"

  • Performance and stability improvements

  • Security fixes SAP IBP connector

    • Support for HTTP proxy configurations which do not need user/password authentication

Known Issues

  • Only for customers using the PL/SQL API: if you upgrade to 9.2.3, until and including 9.2.3.6 there is a known issue with the PL/SQL API. If you use this component, please update to 9.2.3.7 or higher.

  • SAP IBP connector supports HTTP proxy configurations which do not need user/password authentication

  • Security fixes: SSO token has been removed from URL when logging in with SSO
