Monitoring SAP Systems

Various monitors are available on each SAP System. Redwood Server has the ability to display monitors of different SAP Systems in one central tree. Monitoring of SAP Systems is done via the XAL interface, which allows access to remote monitoring data. The RFC user requires a specific set of privileges to use the XAL interface as outlined in the Reference SAP RFC User Privileges.

The following process definitions are available for interacting with SAP monitors:

  • SAP_DeleteCcmsMonitors
  • SAP_ImportCcmsMonitors

The RFC connection immediately retrieves the lists of available monitors from the SAP instance as soon as the XAL interface is configured for the SAP System.
