Redwood Supported Platforms

Introduction

This document answers the following questions about the Redwood Solution:

  1. Supported software/technologies to use the solution
  2. What platforms, applications, technologies can be automated using the solution
  3. What platforms can be used to install and operate the solution's central server in an on-premise setup This document is updated on a regular basis. Always consult the most current version. If you have additional questions, please contact our support team.

Managed Systems Footnotes

1: Tier 1 platforms are recommended for new installations. New OS release date needs to be later than the product release date.
2: Tier 2 platforms are not recommended for new installations due to manufacturer support level, age or market share. Long term, such platforms may degrade to Tier 3.
3: Tier 3 platforms are no longer supported by their manufacturer. Redwood may be forced to discontinue support for these platforms when resources (hardware, software) are no longer available. Redwood will support these according to “best effort” only. Some features may be unavailable on these platforms due to lack of OS support.
4: Any database.
5: Support for creating and modifying SAP Mass Activities (SAP IS-U) parameter sets has been disabled until further notice. Exception: customers already using this in combination older transports can continue to do so.
6: SAP Note 1077727 – SAP JCo 3.0 release and support strategy.

On-Premises Footnotes

1: Fontconfig must be available on Linux. Latest supported HotSpot JVM recommended for Java 11 and 17, recommended. For Java 8, latest OpenJ9 is recommended. Redwood does support the product running under JVM's from other vendors, however, they are not tested by Redwood. If JVM-specific issues occur that are not reproducible on the tested JVM's, then the customer will need to contact their JVM vendor for support.
2: Fontconfig must be available on Linux.
