Prerequisites

  • Redwood Platform
  • The URL to your application server such as http://pr1.example.com:10180
  • The user deploying Redwood Finance Automation must be:
    • a technical user
    • must have scheduler-user or redwood-login, and scheduler-administrator or redwood-administrator roles assigned

Procedure

Install Redwood Finance Automation

Install the downloaded CAR file using the standard System_App_Install process.

  1. Log on to the redwood context of your application server.
  2. Example: http://pr1.example.com:10180/redwood.
  3. Navigate to Definitions > Processes.
  4. Select Submit from the context-menu of System_App_Install.
  5. Choose upload, choose Browse and locate the downloaded CAR file.
  6. Select an appropriate partition in the Partition field; the default is FCA.
  7. Choose Submit.

Upgrade Redwood Finance Automation

Install the downloaded CAR file using the standard System_App_Install process.

  1. Log on to the redwood context of your application server.
  2. Example: http://pr1.example.com:10180/redwood.
  3. Navigate to Definitions > Processes.
  4. Select Submit from the context-menu of System_App_Install.
  5. Choose upload, choose Browse and locate the downloaded CAR file.
  6. Select an appropriate partition in the Partition field; it must be the same one used for initial installation.
  7. Choose Submit.

Hotfix Installation

Follow the procedure as outlined by Redwood Support. In general, a hotfix is either a JAR or CAR file; JAR files are copied to <install_dir>/j2ee/cluster/global/tomcat/lib, CAR files are imported using imports (Promotion > Imports).
