Privileges Required to use the Audit Trail

To view the audit trail, you need either:

  • scheduler-administrator or redwood-administrator role
  • system-level permissions

Viewing Audit Trail Audit Objects

  • View - allows you to view Audit Objects on the level the privilege was granted, you have no further privileges through this rank.
  • Edit - allows you to view and restore all Audit Objects on the level the privilege was granted.
  • Delete - allows you to view, restore and delete any Audit Object on the level the privilege was granted.
  • All - full control over all Audit Objects on the level the privilege was granted.
note

A user with the View privilege on Audit Object does not require a privilege rank on the audited object to see it in the audit trail.

Restoring Objects

  • Edit - allows you to create, view and restore all Audit Objects on the level the privilege was granted.
  • Delete - allows you to view, restore and delete any Audit Objects on the level the privilege was granted.
  • All - full control over all Audit Objects on the level the privilege was granted.

Deleting the Audit Trail

To delete [parts of] the Audit trail you require either of the following:

  • Delete - allows you to view, restore and delete any Audit Object on the level the privilege was granted.
  • All - full control over all Audit Objects on the level the privilege was granted.

To actually delete [parts of] the audit trail you additionally need sufficient privileges to submit System_ArchiveAuditObjects.
