Privileges Required to use Query Filters

To use object filters (known as Query Filters in Redwood Server), you need one of the following:

  • scheduler-administrator or redwood-administrator role
  • object, system or partition-level permissions

The sections below will reference the object-level permissions you need, however, equivalent system permissions are also valid.

Using Query Filters

The following privilege ranks are available on Query Filters:

  • Create - allows you to create a Query Filter on the level the privilege was granted (system), you have no further privileges through this rank, you automatically get All privilege rank on Query Filters you create.
  • View - allows you to view a Query Filter on the level the privilege was granted (system), you have no further privileges through this rank.
  • Edit - allows you to create, view, and edit a Query Filter on the level the privilege was granted (system).
  • Delete - allows you to create, view, and delete a Query Filter on the level the privilege was granted (system).
  • All - full control over a Query Filter on the level the privilege was granted (system).

You always need View privileges on the partition of the Query Filter.

Built-in Roles

  • The scheduler-administrator or redwood-administrator built-in role provides full control over Query Filters.
  • The scheduler-viewer built-in role provides read-only access to Query Filters.

Creating Query Filters

You need one of the following privilege ranks to be able to create object filters:

  • Create - on Query Filter allows you to create object filters .
  • Edit - on Query Filter allows you to create, view, and edit all object filters.
  • Delete - on Query Filter allows you to create, view, and delete all object filters.
  • All - on Query Filter grants full control over all object filters.

Editing Query Filters

To successfully edit a object filter, you must have one the following privileges:

  • Edit - system-wide privilege rank on Query Filter .
  • Delete - system-wide privilege rank on Query Filter.
  • All - system-wide privilege rank on Query Filter.
