Technical Requirements and Sizing Recommendations

Prerequisites

The user that deploys the Redwood Finance Automation CAR file needs to have the following roles:

  • scheduler-administrator

The application server must dispose of an Oracle JDBC driver compatible with the underlying database of your Oracle EBS instance (Oracle EBS scenario, only). Redwood Platform ships with a driver that is compatible with Oracle 9i and later.

Best Practices

Great care needs to be taken when you choose the user (subject) that deploys the Redwood Finance Automation CAR file. The subject used should be a technical user, must be granted the above role and retain the grant. It is not recommended to switch subject; once a subject has been used to deploy the Redwood Finance Automation CAR file, that subject must be used for any subsequent deployments on a given system.
