Privileges Required to use Email Alert Gateways

To use email alert gateways, you need one of the following:

  • scheduler-administrator or redwood-administrator role
  • system or partition-level permissions
  • object-specific privileges

Using Email Alert Gateways

The following privilege ranks are available on email alert gateways:

  • Create - allows you to create a email alert gateway on the level the privilege was granted (system, partition), you have no further privileges through this rank, you automatically get All privilege rank on email alert gateways you create.
  • View - allows you to view a email alert gateway on the level the privilege was granted (system, partition), you have no further privileges through this rank.
  • Edit - allows you to create, view, and edit a email alert gateway on the level the privilege was granted (system, partition).
  • Delete - allows you to create, view, and delete a email alert gateway on the level the privilege was granted (system, partition).
  • All - full control over a email alert gateway on the level the privilege was granted (system, partition).

You always need View privileges on the partition of the email alert gateway.

Email alert gateways can reference the following object, you need at least View privileges on this object as well as its partition when you want to create/edit/delete a email alert gateway that references it:

  • Application.

--Built-in Roles

  • The scheduler-administrator or redwood-administrator built-in role provides full control over Export Rule Sets.
  • The scheduler-viewer built-in role provides read-only access to Export Rule Sets.

Creating Email Alert Gateways

You need the following privilege ranks to be able to create email alert gateways:

  • Create - allows you to create email alert gateways on the level the privilege was granted (system, partition), you have no further privileges through this rank, you automatically get All privilege rank on email alert gateways you create.
  • Edit - allows you to create, view and edit all email alert gateways on the level the privilege was granted (system, partition).
  • All - full control over all email alert gateways on the level the privilege was granted (system, partition).

You also require View privileges on the partition of the email alert gateway.

Editing Email Alert Gateways

  • Edit - allows you to create, view and edit all email alert gateways on the level the privilege was granted (system, partition).
  • All - full control over all email alert gateways on the level the privilege was granted (system, partition).

You also require View privileges on the partition of the email alert gateway.

Email alert gateways can reference the following objects, you need at least View privileges on these objects and their partition(s) when you want to edit an email alert gateway that references them:

  • Application.
