Privileges Required to use SAP BAE connectors

To use SAP BAE connectors, you need one of the following:

  • scheduler-administrator or redwood-administrator role
  • system or partition-level permissions
  • object-specific privileges

Using SAP BAE Connectors

The following privilege ranks are available on SAP BAE connectors:

  • Create - allows you to create an SAP BAE connector on the level the privilege was granted (system, partition), you have no further privileges through this rank, you automatically get All privilege rank on SAP BAE connectors you create.
  • View - allows you to view an SAP BAE connector on the level the privilege was granted (system, partition), you have no further privileges through this rank.
  • Administrator - allows you to view and control an SAP BAE connector on the level the privilege was granted (system, partition).
  • Business Automation User - allows you to log in via the RFC connection; this privilege can only be granted system-wide.
  • Edit - allows you to create, view, and edit an SAP BAE connector on the level the privilege was granted (system, partition).
  • Delete - allows you to create, view, and delete an SAP BAE connector on the level the privilege was granted (system, partition).
  • All - full control over an SAP BAE connector on the level the privilege was granted (system, partition).

You always need View privileges on the partition of the SAP BAE connector.

SAP BAE connectors can reference the following object, you need at least View privileges on this object as well as its partition when you want to create/edit/delete an SAP BAE connector that references it:

  • Application.

Built-in Roles

  • The scheduler-administrator or redwood-administrator built-in role provides full control over SAP BAE connectors.
  • The scheduler-viewer built-in role provides read-only access to SAP BAE connectors.

Creating SAP BAE Connectors

You need one of the following privilege ranks to be able to create SAP BAE connectors:

  • Create - allows you to create SAP BAE connectors on the level the privilege was granted (system, partition), you have no further privileges through this rank, you automatically get All privilege rank on SAP BAE connectors you create.
  • Edit - allows you to create, view, and edit all SAP BAE connectors on the level the privilege was granted (system, partition).
  • Delete - allows you to create, view, and delete all SAP BAE connectors on the level the privilege was granted (system, partition).
  • All - full control over all SAP BAE connectors on the level the privilege was granted (system, partition).

Editing SAP BAE Connectors

To successfully edit an SAP BAE connector, you must have one the following privileges:

  • Edit - privilege rank on the SAP BAE connector, or on SAP BAE connector in its partition or system-wide
  • Delete - privilege rank on the SAP BAE connector, or on SAP BAE connector in its partition or system-wide
  • All - privilege rank on the SAP BAE connector, or on SAP BAE connector in its partition or system-wide
