The roles described below are delivered with Redwood Finance Automation. They are meant as templates to be copied and assigned to users who work with the system in a defined way.

In general Redwood Finance Automation differentiates between several role types:

  • Admin and support roles
  • Designer roles
  • Operative roles
  • Other roles

Legend:

¹: Delivered Privileges are system-wide, scope may be changed to default partition FCA only

²: Delivered Privilege are system-wide, scope may be changed to object level

note

These roles allow a login to the Redwood Finance Automation UI when the Login URL is provided. The users will have access to the Redwood Finance Automation objects which are relevant to the financial close.

Built-in Roles

Robotics_Admin

Privileges for this role are covered by roles scheduler-admin and scheduler-isolation-administrator which an Administrator should already have.

Usage

Scope: This role is intended for administrators; as such it has no additional privileges.

This role is for administrators.

Robotics_Monitor

Privileges for this role are covered by roles scheduler-user (or redwood-login), scheduler-business-user, and scheduler-viewer which a user for Monitoring should already have.

Robotics_Process_Designer

Usage

Scope: This role is intended for designer users; it allows a user to:

  • View processes and files, respond to workflows, add notes in the Workbench.
  • View messages and respond, view files and upload files, add notes in the Inbox.
  • Start processes enabled for you in the Runner.
  • Create and change processes in the Studio.
  • Create tables and documents.
  • Access the technical Redwood Finance Automation interface.

This role is for designers who work with the Studio.

Usage

This role is for users who interact with the Workbench, Inbox, and Runner.
